![]() ![]() You can just download Global Company and only get one add-on DisableTurnOffMotor - no need other Global Company add-ons. Origineel geplaatst door JMH714:So you need DisableTurnOffMotor without Global Company? I don't think I have seen anyone created it without requiring Global Company. So, I don't want the game to auto-start anything, but I also don't want it to auto-stop anything that I intentionally leave running, just because I went too far away for a few moments. This becomes REALLY annoying if you are multi-managing several vehicles and operations at the same time. Especially if the game decides to secretly shut off that engine and gives you that "Please start the engine first!" message when you did not turn off your engine in the first place. This auto shut-off can be annoying if you want to pop over to, say, your combine to check it's fill level, then go back to where you were and continue on with what you are doing. If you are multi-tasking between several vehicles, and tabbing between them to manage your operations, there is some hidden code (by the devs) that says something like: "if next vehicle is X distance away (on map), then shut off the engine of the previous vehicle." Or, some kind of set of rules that I haven't yet figured out. When that setting is "Off", each time you enter a vehicle and the engine is not already running, you will have to manually start it, and if you don't, there will be a message that says: "Please start the engine first!" When the "Automatic Engine Start" is "On", that means that every time you tab between vehicles, the vehicle's engine will automatically start for you, so you don't have to manually do it, and it will automatically shut off when you tab out. Well, then let me explain better, so anyone else will also understand my goal: I didn't confirm or follow what he was doing. ![]() Perhaps he used a mod and got confused about that menu option being what he thought he used then. ![]() :) I'm new so I was just going by what I heard and saw in the video when I was learning about forestry in this game. This has been addressed several times over on Giants own Forum, and there is a pretty good long discussion on there in a post called "Stop the Pay Wall" where Giants Staff clarify what creators can do to earn rewards for their mods which don't break the EULA.Īll the websites mentioned so far in this thread are monetising downloads and the downloads are not their creations, so they are breaking way more rules or EULAs.Origineel geplaatst door TheMarcosianOne:No worries. As for Creators who host mods on their own sites or pages, they are not allowed to charge people for access to mods or to download mods, however they are allowed to accept Donations from people who want to say thank you for their work. I can also keep up to date on the latest version published rather than go hunting for a later version (if any).Ĭreators on the ModHub earn money from Giants on a "Pay per Download Basis" which is why sites that take ModHub mods and re-upload them like those mentioned in this topic are taking potential earnings away from creators, as unless mods are downloaded using the original ModHub link or via the In Game Menu, the download does not get registered to the creator and they don't get paid. I agree, that's why I like Steams own workshop, or in this case the Giants Hub - I really wish for PC version of the game they had steam workshop for the mods that don't get through the testing at giants hub. So again please add to the list of websites NOT to download mods from as they are not supporting any mod maker or creator, but only stealing work and mods for their own financial gain. Stevie always releases his mods via a link to his Google Drive, meaning his downloads are 100% free. They also have every version on a Modfile link. And what do you know every version of his map is on that website. I did a quick search on that site for 'Lakeland Vale' a map by the mod author Stevie, who doesn't upload his maps or his mods to any other site then his facebook page. That's not an Official Site either, and is also another site that takes modders uploads, re-uploads them without permission and changes the download links to use so that they earn money off every click. It has never asked for any information from me, & appears to use modders direct links when possible. Originally posted by Merck:I often find mods at this site: ![]()
